Funeral mass for Gerald F. Farrell, a 1941 Lusk High School graduate, was held at a Catholic cathedral in Denver Wednesday with burial at Ft. Logan Cemetery. Rosary was held at Moore Mortuary Tuesday evening. Farrell died at St. Paul's Health Center in Denver June 5 following a short illness.
Gerald F. Farrell was born December 19, 1923, at Sioux Falls, S.D., the son of Walter P. and Josephine C. Farrell. He lived in Iowa until 1931, when he moved to Lusk. He went through the country school and graduated from Lusk High School in 1941.
Farrell married Marilyn Houghton in August 1942 and served in the U.S. Army from 1943-1945. He worked for the Toledo Scale Company and lived in Toledo before being transferred to Panama City, Fla. He moved to Denver in 1951 where he remained until his death.
Farrell is survived by his parents of Lusk; three sons, Jerry Jr. of Houston, Steven of Toledo and Mike of Chadron and one sister Kathleen Kearney of Evanston, Ill.
