Mrs. Don Emery Died August 6

Sympathy is extended to Bob and Don Emery on the death of their mother, Mrs. Donovan R. Emery. She died August 6 at the Natrona County Memorial Hospital in Casper. Funeral service was held at the Congregational Church in Douglas, August 9 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Clyde Thompson of the First Baptist Church officiated at the service. Mrs. Jack Hammond and Mrs. Darryl Dosson sang, "I'll Never Be Lonely" and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus". They were accompanied by Mrs. Scott Carver of Douglas.

Bernice Hazen was born November 4, 1905, in Sargent, Neb. She moved with her family to Ft. Fetterman, in 1916 and worked at the Golden Rule Store in Douglas prior to her marriage. She married Donovan R. Emery in Douglas on July 20, 1923. She was a member of the Mountain Valley Rebekah Lodge #15 and the VFW Auxiliary.

She is survived by two sons, Donovan A. of Douglas, Robert of Lance Creek; 5 brothers; George Hazen of Farmington, N.M., Jack of Douglas, Orin of Chula Vista, Calif., Floyd of Aztec, N.M., and Claude of Casper; a sister, Mrs. Lorraine Phelan of Casper and three grandsons.
