Frances Embree
Frances M. Embree
Services were held at Brooklyn, Wash. June 14, 1983 for Frances M. Embree, formerly Frances Gautschi. Mrs. Embree was born on May 11, 1911, the first girl born in the new Niobrara County. She was the daughter of Hans and Jennie Gautschi, who preceded her in death.
She graduated from Manville High School with the class of 1930 and on November 18, 1930 was united in marriage to Millard M. Merritt. He died in 1977 and on January 10, 1981, she married Regnald Embree of Westport, Wash.
Mrs. Embree had been in poor health for the past few years and was in the Aberdeen, Wash. Rest home at the time of her death. She was a member of the Episcopal Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband; one brother, H. L. "Bus" Gautschi of Casper; one nephew, Charles Gautschi of New York City and one niece, Laraine M. Goold of Apple Valley, Calif., besides many cousins.
