John Ellsworth Dies Here Saturday; Last Rites in Grand Island

John Ellsworth, father of Mrs. Alan Clark of Hat Creek, Wyo., passed away Saturday, June 18th, at the Manring Convalescent Home where he had been confined for the past four weeks.

The deceased, a retired florist, was born November 22, 1867 at Downs, Illinois, a son of Elmer and Barbara Ellen (Elwalt) Ellsworth. At the time of his demise, which was attributed to a cerebral hemorrhage, he was 88 years, six months and 26 days of age.

The remains were taken overland by Walther Doctor of the Peet Mortuary, to Crawford, Nebr., on Tuesday, and were shipped to Grand Island, Nebr., where final rites were being held at the Livingston-Sonderman Funeral Home.

John Ellsworth Dies Here Saturday

John Ellsworth, 88, died at the Manring Convalescent Home in Lusk Saturday following an extended illness. Funeral services and burial was being held in Grand Island, Nebr. Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m.

A daughter, Mrs. Alan Clark and her husband, flew to Grand Island Wednesday morning for the services. Masonic rites were to be given for Mr. Ellsworth who was a 32 degree Mason.

The remains were taken by the Peet Mortuary to Crawford Tuesday evening and shipped on to the Livingston-Sonderman chapel of Grand Island.

John Ellsworth was born November 22, 1867 the son of Elmer and Barbara Ellen Elwalt Ellsworth. His wife Freeda Ellsworth previously died. Mr. Ellsworth was a retired florist.
