Funeral services for Joshua Hazen "Josh" Emery, 18, were held Tuesday, September 13, at 10:00 a.m. at the Saint James Catholic Church in Douglas, Wyo. Father John Murray and Reverend Merrill Lanker of the Congregational United Church of Christ officiated. Vigil for the Deceased was recited Monday, September 12, at 7:00 p.m. at the Converse Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Douglas Park Cemetery.

Josh died Friday, September 9, 1994, south of Gillette, Wyo., due to injuries received in an automobile accident.

He was born August 18, 1976, in Casper, Wyo., the son of George R. and Becky (McChesney) Emery. He was reared and educated in Douglas, graduating from the Douglas High School in May, 1994. He worked at Clementines, K1 Conoco, Douglas Park Cemetery, Moose Construction in Big Piney, Wyo., as a welder's helper, and at the time of his death at the Big A Auto Parts in Douglas. He was active in DeMolay, past master council and welding. He is survived by his parents of Douglas; sister, Sara Emery and friend Marty Kolbet of Douglas; nephew and god son, Trey Emery of Douglas; paternal grandmother, Lucille Emery of Douglas; maternal grandparents, Lenora and Bob Merchen of Douglas and Bud and Mary McChesney of Casper, Wyo.; maternal great grandmother, Thelma Ostrander of Douglas; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Don Emery.

Serving as pallbearers were Chad Underwood, Alex Eklund, Chris Rankin, Bryce May, Aaron Fackelman and Mike Leinweber.

Serving as honorary pallbearers were all of his many friends.

A Josh Emery Memorial Fund or a memorial to the Douglas DeMolay in care of Key Bank, P.O. Box 1307, Douglas, Wyo. 82633 would be appreciated by the family.

The Converse Funeral Chapel of Douglas was in charge of the arrangements. The casket was closed, but family and friends were invited to call at the funeral home on Monday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
