Gale Lynn Prell
Gayle Lynn Prell, age 54, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 1983 at the Converse County Memorial Hospital unexpectedly.
Gale was born Aug. 13, 1929 at Anselmo, Nebraska, County of of Custer, the son of Lovell and Mildred Beardsley Prell. He attended school in Anslemo through the 6th grade and then the family moved to Orange, California for four years during the years of WWII. The family then moved back to Anselmo where he completed his schooling and graduated. In 1951 the family moved to Newcastle, Wyoming, where he was in the trucking business with his father. He joined the Wyoming National Guard and served six years.
On Aug. 27, 1953 he was united in marriage to Carrie Jean Sides of Lance Creek, Wyoming. They made their home in Newcastle and Lusk until moving to Douglas in 1962. To this union was born five children, Myron Lynn, Debra Jean, Willa Gayle, Lisa Faye, and Ronda Kay. After moving to Douglas he drove the activities bus for 11 years for the Douglas School District. He leaves to mourn his wife Carrie Jean, son Mike, daughters, Debra Jean Hollenbeck, Willa Gayle Green and Ronda Kay Prell of Douglas; and Lisa Faye Prell of Gillette; two grandson, Scott Wayne Prell and Brandon Lee Green; two sisters, Faye Hauber of Sheridan, Wy. and Kay Marlow of Selah, Wa.; three brothers, Fred of McCook, Neb., Vern of Newcastle, Wy., and Jim of Sheridan, Wy.; mother-in-law, Esther Selby of Douglas; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother Dale, brothers Larry and Dean, and sister Eleanor.
