Charles "Chuck" Lawrence Pearson
Charles "Chuck" Pearson, age 84, formerly of Lusk, WY., passed away on November 7, 2023, at the VA Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 PM on Friday, November 10th at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Father Anthony Urban as the Celebrant. Visitation will be from 1-1:45 PM on Friday at the Rustand-Weiland Funeral Chapel followed by procession to the church for mass. Cremation will take place after the funeral and his final resting place will be in the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis.
Charles Lawrence Pearson was born on January 6, 1939, in Perkins County, South Dakota. Chuck attended Buffalo High School in Buffalo, South Dakota, and went on to serve in the Navy from 1956 to 1960. After his military service, Chuck held various jobs, ranging from ranch work to postal worker. However, he found his passion when he went to work for Hubbard Milling. Chuck dedicated over 30 years of his life to this role before retiring in 2001.
Chuck was an active member of all the communities and Catholic Churches where he and Carol called home. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf, poker, pool, cards, and watching westerns. He was an avid Lusk Tigers, Wyoming Cowboys, and Minnesota Vikings fan. Above all , Chuck cherished spending time with his family.
Chuck is survived by the love of his life, Carol, and his seven children, Tony, Linda, Lisa, Don, Brad, Travis, and Brian. He is also survived by his sister, Pat Ebel, and brother Don Pearson. Chuck was a cherished grandfather, and great-grandfather, leaving behind many grandchildren, and several great-grand-kids.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Howard and Al.
Chuck will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
