Maria Wilhelmine-Dorthea Lenz
Mrs. Henry Lenz passed away at the home of her son and daughter, B.J. Lenz and Miss Martha Lenz of Jay Em, on October 29th, the date of her 80th birthday. A peculiar incident is the fact that her husband died eight years ago on the same day.
Mr. and Mrs. Lenz came to Wyoming from Meadow Grove, Neb., in 1915, and have since made their home at Jay Em.
Funeral services were held from the home on Monday, October 30, with Rev. Och of Torrington officiating, and burial was made in the Jay Em Cemetery. funeral arrangements were in charge of the Collier (Colyer) Mortuary of Torrington.
Mrs. Lenz was the mother of eight children, one son, Hugo, preceded his mother in death, having died at his home in Oregon in 1918.
The other children are H.C. Lenz of Lusk B.J. Lenz, Mrs. Minnie Cornette and Miss Martha Lenz of Jay Em, Alfred of Wisner, Neb., Mrs. D.A. Ludlow and Carl Lenz of Meadow Grove, Neb.
