Harry Cornell, Resident 45 Years, Dies
Harry Cornell, 70, resident of Niobrara County for 45 years died last Thursday in Veterans' Hospital in Cheyenne of cancer.
Funeral services were held from the Peet Chapel Monday with the Rev. Frank Bozart of the Open Bible Church officiating. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.
Mrs. A. F. DeCastro was the organist and Carol Taylor sang, "The Lord's Prayer". Mrs. DeCastro played an organ solo, "The Old Rugged Cross".
Pallbearers were: Ray Taylor, Everett Kilmer, Walt Zerbst, Floyd Immesoete, Levern James and Rulo Roberts.
Honorary pallbearers were: Joe McConaughey, Frank Taylor, Jim Mudra, Stanly Hoy, Emil Klemke and Gilbert Brinkerhoff.
Harry Earnest Cornell was born August 25, 1894 the son of William and Cora Cornell at Harvard, Nebr. He served four years in the U. S. Army serving in France during World War I. In 1919 he returned from France and was married, later that year he homesteaded north east of Lusk. He lived in the Divide area until his death.
He is survived by his wife, Nellie; one daughter, Mrs. Lee Weeden of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one son, Harry Arlos Cornell of Ft. Collins, Colo.; one sister, Mrs. Ernest Bushboom; three brothers, Charley, Ray and Floyd Cornell; and ten grandchildren.
