Patrick Melvin Lacy

A boy by the name of Pat lacy accidentally shot himself in the left side of the head last Sunday with a 22.caliber rifle and died about three hours afterward, remaining unconscious from the time he was shot up to the time of his death. It is thought the ball penetrated the skull and lodged on the brain. The young man came here from Harrison, Nebraska, about six weeks ago and was in the employ of O.J. Demmon as the mail carrier from here to Hat Creek. His father arrived here about a half hour after he died and had the remains sent to Harrison the next day for interment.
