Gone to His Long Rest

Died, at his home in Lusk Tuesday, February 20, 1906, at 7:10 p.m., Harry H. Crater, of locomota ataxia. Deceased was born at Espyville, Pennsylvania, March 28, 1871, making him at the time of his death, 34 years, 10 months and 23 days. He came to Wyoming about 11 years ago, since when he has been a continuous resident of the state and for nine years a resident of Lusk.

In 1895 he met Emma L. Case and on December 1st of that year they were married at Cheyenne, and from that day to the time of his death, the one whom he took to his heart and hearth has been everything that a wife could be. During the past three years, the greater part of which time he needed the closest attention and care, she has ever been near to him, giving up all else to see and care for her husband, and most truly can it be said that of her "she hath done what she could."  But loving care of wife, mother , and relatives could not keep back the progress of that dreaded disease, and poor Harry, being naturally a man of great ambition, anxious to do his best for his family, was forced to submit to being cared for in place of caring for others.

All that medical aid could do was done and all that loving ones could do was to make him comfortable,  all of which was done until the death angel relieved him of his suffering. But to the wife and two little ones, mother, three brothers and sister, who is mourning today, we would say do not grieve for your loved one for

"His languishing head is at rest,                  

It's aching and thinking are o'er:

His quiet, immovable breast,

Shall be tossed with affliction no more."

Funeral services were conducted at the residence this afternoon by Rev. Reade and the casket, covered with beautiful tributes, taken to the Lusk cemetery where the remains were laid in their final resting place.
