Elizabeth Stark Lamb
Elizabeth Stark Lamb was born in Indiana, January 28, 1834 and died February 6, 1925 at Burlington, Iowa at the age of 91 years and nine days. Her father obtained a homestead where a part of the city of Des Moines now stands.
She united in marriage to William Lamb at Hopeville, Ia., in 1861, To this union six children were born, three boys and three girls. Two children are left to mourn the loss of a kind and loving mother, Mrs. Lillie Ong of Burlington, Ia., and John J. Lamb of Lance Creek, Wyoming. Her husband, William Lamb, and the following children preceded her in death; Alvin, Maude, Arthur and Nora.
Mr. Lamb passed away forty-six years ago, leaving her a family of small children to support, which she raised, keeping them with her until they were grown. She became a member of the Christian church when a girl and has always lived a good Christian life.
Mrs. lamb spent most of her time during the last eight years on the homestead with her son, John Lamb and daughter, Mrs. A.A. Ong at Lance Creek.

"J.J. Lamb left last Friday evening for Burlington, Iowa, to see his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Lamb, who is 91 years old and who had just broken her hip. Mrs. lamb succumbed to her injuries shortly after at her home."
