James C. Baker
James C. Baker, 87, of Lingle passed away April 22, 2020, at Regional West in Scottsbluff, Neb. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Jim was born May 19,1932, to Guy and Ardice Baker. He was raised on a ranch north of Lance Creek. He served in the Army during the Manhattan Project and was discharged with the rank of Corporal. He worked as an oilfield contractor most of his adult life.
He is survived by his brother George R. (Chubbles), of Torrington, and two nieces, four nephews, two step-sons, one step-granddaughter and numerous step-great and step-great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Frances, his parents, his sister and numerous aunts, uncles and both sets of grandparents.
Pier Funeral Home in Lusk is in charge of arrangements.
