Miss Alice Snyder Passes Away at Douglas Tuesday
Miss Alice Snyder, 19-year-old daughter of Mrs. Inez Snyder, passed away at the Douglas Hospital early Tuesday morning, following an illness of several weeks. The cause of her death was pneumonia.
Alice may Snyder was born in Edgemont, South Dakota, on October 7, 1917, and lived there for a number of years in her early childhood. later the family moved to Lusk, where they made their home for the following four years. Alice attended the Lusk schools during that time and would have been a member of the 1936 graduating class if she had been able to finish her schooling here. She then moved to Douglas, where she has lived for the past five years.
A closed funeral service was held Thursday afternoon from the congregational Church. Burial was made in the Douglas Park Cemetery.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Inez Snyder, Mrs. Hub Southwick, also of Douglas.
