Resident North Part of County is Dead
James Maxwell, age 77 years, passed away at the Lusk hospital Saturday evening, Sept.10th from the effects of cancer.
Very little is known of the deceased outside of the fact that he has resided alone for some time on a small place in the northern part of the county. The records of the County Welfare Board gave his date of birth as January 7th, 1861 in Pennsylvania and he is listed as single.
Neighbors say that it is understood that Mr. Maxwell came from a good family in Penna., who are manufacturers.
Funeral services were held from the Peet Mortuary, Tuesday, September 13th with Rev. P.H. Evans of the Baptist church officiating. Burial was made in the Lusk cemetery.
