Dave Streeter Passes Away at Home in Johnson County

Dave Streeter, 89, who was one time a resident of this community, passed away at his home in Kaycee on Saturday, November 12th.

Funeral services were held from the Methodist church at Kaycee and burial took place in the cemetery at that place.

David Streeter was born in Albany, New York in the year 1849 0n Nov. 30th and resided there until 1873 when he moved to Nebraska in in 1880 came to Wyoming locating on a ranch northeast of Lusk.

He was married to Miss Anna Lohr in 1884 and to this union 11 children were born. His wife was a sister of John Lohr and Mrs. Malter Larson and Mrs. John Sturman all of Lusk.

In 1910 the family moved to Johnson County where they have since resided.

Mr. Streeter had been in excellent health in spite of his advanced age until the day before his death when he was suddenly stricken with a heart ailment and passed away the following day.
