Heart Attack Fatal to Peter Hansen
Peter Hansen, aged 77, passed away at the home of his son, Fred Hansen, early Sunday morning, July 3rd. Death was caused by a heart ailment from which he had been a sufferer for some time. He had been taken very ill in St. Louis a month or so ago and his son, Fred was called to his bedside in that city where he was visiting two other sons, Peter and Lars, However, his condition improved and he was able to accompany Fred back to Lusk and had been up and around until just a short time before his death, when he suffered another heart attack which proved fatal shortly after midnight Saturday.
Mr. Hansen was born in Denmark in 1861 and came to America when 21 years of age. He came to Wyoming from St. Louis in 1909 and located on a homestead at Node but of late year has spent the winter with two daughters in Florida and the summers at he the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hansen of Lusk.
Besides his three sons he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Herbert Lynn of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Mrs. Helen Bodenhofer of Pompono, Fla. Funeral services will not be held until Friday awaiting the arrival of his daughter. Others in the family include three granddaughter living in Lusk, Hazel, Velma and Marjorie Hansen as well as two other grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held from the Lutheran church on Friday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Berntahl officiating. The Peet Mortuary has charge of the arrangements and burial will be made in the Lusk cemetery beside his wife who passed away in 1911.
The pall bearers will be Chas. Heumier, Otto Klemke, Amend Thurston, Henry Lenz Chas. Lund and A.A. McCoy.
