Last Rites For Tularemia Victim
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon for Louis Morrow, who died Sept.26 in Lusk. Mr. Morrow had been seriously ill for the past sixteen days of tularemia, complicated by pneumonia. He was born Febr. 27, 1874 at Waterloo, Iowa.
In the early days, Mr. Morrow trailed cattle from Oklahoma and Texas to Montana. later he became engaged in oil field work at Lance Creek. Following this he herded sheep for may prominent Wyoming sheep men, including Jakie Mill, Boner Brothers, Oliver Hitshew, Rice Bros., Ray Harris and Hogan and Shea. At the time he became ill he was employed in the same capacity for Guy Mosier.
Surviving is a sister in Iowa, who was unable to attend the services.
The funeral was held in the Peet chapel, with Rev. Marshall reading the last rites. Mr. Hungate sang several numbers. Interment was in the Lusk cemetery.
