Mrs. Lillie Brown Died Suddenly At Scotland, So. Dak.

Word was received here Wednesday of the sudden death of Mr. Lillie Brown of Scotland, South Dakota at 7:30 a.m., Wednesday morning. Mrs. Brown was the mother of Ben Brown of the Keeline community and Mrs. George Gunn who resides north of Lusk.

Particulars were not known here late Wednesday regarding her sudden demise. The lady had left here Sunday morning in company with Mr. and Mrs. Gunn for Scotland, South Dakota and the party was visiting a few days at the home of Mr. Gunn's mother.

Mrs. Brown was 73 years of age. Her husband, Maynard T. Brown preceded her in death in 1926. The body was being returned to Lusk Thursday and funeral arrangements were not completed pending word from other children who reside on the west coast.

LAST RITES FOR MRS. M.T. BROWN HELD OCTOBER 4TH

Funeral services were held in Lusk at St. Leo's Catholic Church at 11 o'clock a.m., Saturday, October 4th for Mrs. Eulila A. Brown with Fathers Andrews and Gerald holding the requiem mass. Mrs. Brown passed away suddenly the preceding Wednesday, October 1 while visiting at Scotland, South Dakota.

Eulila Agnes Feauto, daughter of Issac Feauto and Julio Baublen, was born at Newcastle, Nebraska, December 16, 1867, and passed away at Scotland, South Dakota, October 1, 1941, aged 73 years, nine months and 14 days. her parents were residents of the French Province of Quebec, Canada, from where they migrated to the United States, locating in Iowa in 1850 and later moving to Newcastle, Nebraska where the daughter was born.

On June 3, 1889 she was united in marriage to Maynard T. Brown at Sioux City, Iowa, the young couple establishing their home at Westerfield, Iowa. Several years later they moved to Scotland, South Dakota and in 1918 they moved to Wyoming, locating on a ranch some 30 miles north of Lusk in Niobrara county. Six children were born to bless this union, two daughter Florence Baker of San Francisco and Sidna L. Gunn of Hat Creek; and four sons, Ben F., of Keeline; George E., and Maynard T. of Redmond, Oregon and William J. of Bakersfield, Calif., all of whom survive. She also leaves one brother, Nels Feauto of LaMars, Iowa, besides 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband of June 30, 1926. Four brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

Following the passing of her husband, Mrs. Brown had made her home for eight years with her daughter, Florence, in San Francisco and in other parts of California, and since 1939 had lived with her daughter, Mrs. Sidna Gunn in the Hat Creek Community.

Music at the services was by a trio composed of Mrs. Bonnie Updike and Misses Elizabeth and Pauline Bruch with Mrs. Joe Kuhn, organist. Casket bearers were Hans Meng, John Wasserburger, Dudley Fields, John Hossman, Bob Taylor, C.A. David and A.M. Bennett. Interment was in the Lusk cemetery.

Mrs. Brown had lived a long life of loyalty and devotion to her children and leaves behind fond memories in the hearts of her family and many friends.
