Gerald Irwin Ballard
Infant laid To Rest at Douglas Thursday
Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon at the Baptist Church for Gerald Irwin Ballard, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ballard of Lance Creek, who passed away at the Douglas hospital Tuesday, March 25. Rev. J. M. Falconer conducted the services.
Gerald, who was one year, seven months and four days old was brought to Douglas from Lance Creek Saturday, March 22. Death was due to a heart ailment. Ill with bronchial pneumonia and since that time had never completely regained his health.
Gerald Irwin Ballard was born at Douglas, August 21, 1939. Last fall he moved with his parents to Lance Creek.
Left to mourn his passing are his parents, a grandmother, Mrs. Trella Oskins; three great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M.W. Oskins and Mrs. Charles Lutcavish, of Laramie and other relatives.
