Services Held For Cecil Foote
Funeral services for Cecil Foote of Prairie Center were conducted Tuesday at Torrington by the Rev. Millard Marshall. Ferd Price, Otto Vondra, Reuben Hahn, and J.M. Vondra sang two quartet numbers, "Old Rugged Cross," and Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," accompanied by Mrs. Ferd Price.
Pall bearers were Gene Browder, Harry Benshoof, Faye Stiles, Bill Flora, Jim Seldon, and Andy Grosjean.
Cecil George Foote was born August 29, 1885 at Guide Rock, Nebraska, eldest son of George N. and Sarah Foote.
When a small boy he moved with his parents to Boone County, Nebraska where he grew up.
In 1925 he and his family moved to Goshen County, Wyoming, where he engaged in farming and ranching.
He was married October 17, 1918 to Dorothy Mills. To this union were born six children, Marguerite Blount, Laramie, Wyo.; George, Mildred, Helen, Vivian, and Norman, all at home.
He had been ill for several months and spent a month in a Denver hospital, but medical aid was of no avail, and he passed away Saturday at the Platte Valley Hospital in Torrington.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife and family, a brother, Russell of Torrington, and a host of friends.
