Funeral Rites Conducted For Leonard Tebbs
Final rites were held Monday afternoon at the Schrader Funeral Home in Cheyenne for Leonard T. Tebbs, 56 years old, who died Friday at his home, 107 East Fifth Avenue in Cheyenne. The Rev. C.C. Hoyt officiated at the mortuary and Harmony Masonic Lodge of Lusk officiated at the grave. Interment was made at Beth El cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Vaile Ward, Jr., Harold Rand, W.H. Jones, G.T. Holmes, Frank Clark and Howard Chambers.
Honorary pallbearers included LeRoy, Joyce, K.L. Hodges, Emmett Schilling, Harold Snyder, W.T. Painter, Perry Cole, Dean Covert, Emmett Shores, Hugh Graham, J.L. Van Ness, Dr. P. M. Cunningham, Norris Hartwell, William M. Jack, J.M. Hungate, C.C. Browning and E. Floyd Deuel.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Lusk and of the Methodist Church of Cheyenne.
Surviving are his wife Julia; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth E. Haskey of Cheyenne and Edith Delle Smith of Seattle, Wash.; a son Leonard P. Tebbs of Cheyenne; four sisters, Mrs. Louise Keating and Mrs. Bessie Lowe, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; Mrs. Laura A. Zimmerman of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Frances W. Connerly of Washington, Ind.; and four brothers, A.H. of Harrison, Ohio; Paul of Harrisburg, pa.; Lon T. of Cheyenne and Warren W. of Cincinnati .
Mr. Tebbs was a son-in-law of the late Harry B. Card of Manville. The service at the grave was in charge of Harmony Masonic Lodge of Lusk, C.E. Marvin officiating. Lusk Masons who went to Cheyenne and participated in the service were E.L. McKnight, master of the Lodge; C.E. Marvin, Peter Paul Brown, Dale C. Windom and C.A. Whelen.
