Mrs Mabel Clark Dies Christmas Day
Mrs. Mabel Staples Clark, resident for some 18 years of north Niobrara County, died Christmas day at 12:30 p.m. at the Peterson Convalescent Home.
She had had a stroke this summer, was in the hospital for some time, but until a week ago had returned to her ranch home on Old Woman Creek south of Red Bird. She was brought back into Lusk a week before her death.
She was born Feb. 8, 1871 in LaSalle County, Ill., the daughter of John and Ella Staples, and spent most of her life at Arapaho, Neb. She came to Lusk May 12,1930 to marry Solon Clark, who died in 1941.
As far as is known she has no living relatives. A stepson, Glen Clark, has operated the ranch.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Peet Chapel with Rev. Lawrence Juell officiating. Casket bearers were Otis Bump, Z.B.
Crinklaw, R.S. Barnes, Archie Sparks, Menno Kaan, and Art Thompson.

Watson sang "Home Sweet Home," and "We'll Never Say Goodbye in Heaven," with Miss Minette Watson organist.
