Six-Year-Old Son of Edward Orr Dies
Funeral services for Joe Henry Orr, 6-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Orr, were conducted from the Peet chapel on Tuesday morning, April 20, at 10:30 a.m., by Rev. Lawrence P. Juell, with the song "Rock of Ages" being sung by Geraldine Klemke and Gwila Turner, accompanied by Mrs. J.P. Watson.
The boy was taken ill on Sunday and was brought to the Spencer Hospital, where he passed away at 4:00 a.m., Monday morning. Death was attributed to a tumor on the left lobe of the cerebrum.
The Orr family came to this community for Lewellyn, Neb., a few years ago, and located on the old Covington ranch, south of the Gene Bass ranch. The boy's remains were taken to Lewellyn for interment and he will be buried beside a small sister who was killed when she was run over by a truck three years ago.
Beside his parents, the boy is survived by a sister, 11, a brother, 9, and a baby 1 1/2 years old.
