Mrs. Oscar Hales of Lance Creek Dies Here Monday

Friends of Mrs. Oscar Hale of Lance Creek were greatly shocked to hear of her untimely passing, as she died at the Lusk Hospital Monday evening of heart trouble.

Mrs. Hale had not been well for some time, but was only brought into the hospital the day previous to her death.

With her husband and family she moved from Oklahoma to Lance Creek about eight years ago.

Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Peet Mortuary and services were held in the Baptist Church at Lusk on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. Evans officiating.

Music was rendered by D. D. Caley and J. M. Hungate, with Mrs. J. P. Watson at the piano.

The pallbearers were Athel Pearce, Joe Traphagan, Harley Davis, Charles Hubbard, Laverne Jess and Kenneth Rood. Interment was made in the Lusk Cemetery.

Goldie Ermal Baughman was born at Collinsville, Oklahoma, on September 15, 1905, and was 30 years, 4 months and 19 days old at the time of her death.

On May 8, 1921, she was united in marriage to Oscar Ivan Hale, at Claremore, Okla. To them three children were born, all of whom survive, Avoy David, age 14; Ossilee Joy, 11, and Gerald Allon, 15 months.

Besides her husband and children she is survived by her mother, Mrs. E. M. Baughman of Collinsville, Ok.; sisters, Mrs. Evie Provost of Lance Creek, Mrs. Hazel Ayres of Riverside, Calif., Mrs. Ruby Strain of Ringwood, Okla., brothers are Frank Baughman of Tulsa, Okla, R. A. Baughman of Lance creek, H. C. Baughman of Leverette, Wyoming and also a number of nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Hale was highly respected by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends.
