Brother of Mrs. Vernon Petersen Dies Thursday
Raymond Kiger, 39, of Seattle, Wash., brother of Mrs. Vernon Petersen of Lusk, died Thursday at Kings Hospital in Seattle following a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the White Center Mortuary. The remains were cremated.
Raymond William Kiger was born May 11, 1918 in Washburn, Wis. He married Louella Booth May 12, 1945 and they were the parents of seven children. In 1952 he moved his family to Lusk where he was employed for a short time at the Gamble Store and in construction work with Roger Yust.
Survivors include his wife, Luella, six children, Richard, Sandra, Joseph, Alva, Raymond, Jr. and Louella. His mother, Mrs. Freda Kiger, a brother Larry, all of Seattle and one sister, Mrs. Peterson of Lusk. An infant daughter and his father previously died.
Mrs. Peterson spent nine weeks with her brother this summer but was unable to attend the funeral.
