Dorothy M. Reese
Dorothy M. Reese, 77, died Nov. 21, 1994 at the Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Charles H. B. and Katie (Sinnama) Crosley. In October 1917, her family moved to Wyoming and they homesteaded north of Shawnee. She was reared on the family ranch and was educated in the Shawnee school system, graduating from Shawnee High School. She married Raymond Reese on April 6, 1935 in Saint Francis, Kansas. They made their home on a farm south of Shawnee, and in 1959 they moved to Wheatland, returning to Shawnee in 1970. In 1978 she moved to Douglas, where she resided until the time of her death. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Robert and Edna Reese of Aurora, Neb., R. Dean and Karalyn Reese of Minatare, Neb., and Doris and Mike Carpenter of Gillette; sisters Gladys Herrick of Mesa, Ariz., Agnes May of Norwood, Mo., and Thelma Hurliman of McMinnville, Ore.; brothers Britt Crosley of Eugene, Ore., and Jess Crosley of Freeland, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
