William "Bill" Martin
Bill Martin, age 74 of Lusk, WY passed away March 19, 2016 at the Poplar Living Center of Casper, WY. A memorial service was held April 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lusk, WY. Pastor Darren Pflughoeft officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date in the Lusk Cemetery. Bill is survived by his wife, Kris Martin of Casper, WY.

William (Bill) George Martin, the son of Virgil Martin and Anna Marie (James) Martin, was born on November 16, 1941. Bill had lived at Poplar Living Center in Casper with his wife, Kristine A. (Penny) Martin before he went to be with his Lord on March 19, 2016.
Bill was a long-time resident of Lusk and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church for as long as can be remembered. From high school, he was in the military for a short time, but due to a rheumatic heart, he was given a medical discharge.
Bill always had a job. He worked for many years at The Lusk Herald, his father's station, Lusk Standard Service, operated a laundromat and was a janitor at the post office. Bill was not all work and no play. during his younger years and while it was open, he was an avid bowler at the Blue Bird Lanes.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, James and Virgil Jr. and three sisters, Virginia, Verda Sue, and Victoria.

This week's spotlight shines on Bill Martin.
Bill works at the post office and has lived in the Lusk area for 42 years.
Bill served in the U.S. Amy and was a member of the Jaycees. Bill married his wife Chris, 9 1/2 years ago.
In addition to the post office, Bill has worked for Rawhide Canvas, the Lusk Herald and Lusk Office and Printing Supply.
Bill has collected a variety of key chains and clocks. He continues to add to his collection.
Bill said that "enjoying life" best describes his future goals.
When I first came to Lusk I met Bill at the post office and he has consistently managed to brighten my day each time I see him. He always wears a smile and never seems to be down or upset.
Lusk may be lacking in some things but it is people like Bill who make this town so very special.
Bill and his wife Chris frequently play bingo at the Elks and without them there it wouldn't be nearly as enjoyable.
