Carrie Miller Dies in Casper
Mrs. Carrie Miller of Mills died at her home Saturday. She was a former resident of the field, and while living here owned and operated the Branding Iron Bar.
She was born at Mobridge, S.D., on November 6, 1887, where she lived until a young woman. She and Kenneth Glenn were married in 1908 at Gary, Ind. They moved to Caldron, Va., in 1911 and later moved to Casper. She married Paul Miller in Midwest, Wyo., in 1929 and in 1939 moved to Lance Creek. Mr. Miller died in 1948. Mrs. Miller operated the business until 1958 when she returned to Casper to make her home. She was a charter member of the V.F. W. Auxiliary in Casper.
Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Herbert Young of Casper; her son, Arthur Glenn of San Bernardino, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Claire Coutts of Bell Flower, Calif.; and a brother, Leo Larson of Mobridge, S.D.; 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Bustard Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Lusk Cemetery.
