Juanita Hamaker Dies June 22
Mrs. Larry Hamaker, 38, died at her home in Kersey, Colo., on June 22. She had been the victim of rheumatic heart disease necessitating three heart surgeries at seven year intervals, the last being open heart surgery in July of 1971.
Funeral services were held at the United Methodist Church in Crawford on June 24 with the Rev. Aten officiating. Interment was at the Harrison Cemetery beside her mother.
Pall bearers were Darrold Hanlon, Devere Britton, Raymond Wright, Dale Travnicek, Larry Horst and Milton Hughes.
Memorials may be given to the heart Fund at the Crawford State Bank and The Chief.
Among those from the Harrison area who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Nation, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Pullen, Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Wasserburger, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Pullen and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Grote.
Juanita Hamaker, daughter of Ralph and Cora Hilderbrand was born November 8, 1933, at Harrison, Nebraska. On June 14, 1952, she married Larry Hamaker of Crawford. Two children were born, Ricky Lew and Rebecca Jean.
She was preceded in death by her mother in 1943. Surviving are her husband Larry; her children at home; her father Ralph and step-mother Doris; four brothers, Ralph of Miles City, Mont., Eddy of Casper, Wyo., Russell of Omaha, and Raymond of Buffalo, Wyo., two sisters, Mary Bridge of Shawnee, Kan., and Emma Jean Hoyt of Denver.
