Mrs. Lurena Gray, Colored, Passes Away at Home Here
Mrs. Lurena Gray, colored, passed away at her home in the east part of town on May 15, at the age of 50 years, 10 months and 6 days.
She had been in poor health for some time past. Dropsy was given as the cause of death. She is survived by her husband, Tom Gray; her mother, Mrs. Lurena Davis of Topeka, Kans., and four brothers, all of Topeka, Kan. John Davis, a brother, of Topeka, was in attendance at the funeral.
Services were held in the funeral parlors of the Universal store Wednesday, with Mrs. Minter, a traveling representative if the Christian Science church officiating. Burial was made in the Lusk cemetery.
