John Christensen Found Dead in Lusk Home Thursday
John Christensen, 75, of Lusk was found dead at his home Thursday. It is believed he died May 8 from a heart attack. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from Peet Chapel with Rev. Otha B. Holcomb officiating. Burial was made in the Lusk Cemetery.
Mrs. Otha B. Holcomb sang "Under His Wing." Mrs. J.P. Watson was organist. Pall bearers were Clair Lee, Ed Rogina, Joyce Wintermore, Charles Hitchew, William Magoon and Earl Quigley.
John Christensen was born in Denmark January 20, 1882 and came to the United States in 1898. He became a naturalized citizen in Iowa in 1910.
He lived in various parts of the country and worked as a farm hand before coming to Niobrara County in 1912. He has been a resident of this county since that time.
