Elsie Pearl Barr
Obituary
The funeral of Mrs. Elsie Pearl Altman Barr was held at Prairie View Church, Thursday August 24th. Rev. Orman C. King of Manville had charge of the services.
Elsie Pearl Altman Barr, daughter of Absolum and Zerna Altman, was born on June 21, 1892, near Almena, Norton County, Kansas, and passed peacefully away on August 22, 1916, at her home near Lost Spring, Converse County, Wyoming.
Sister Barr was brought up in the atmosphere of a christian home and she did not know a time when she was not trying to be a christian. She joined the Methodist Episcopal Church at Birkville, Kansas, when she was ten years old. She has always been active in christian work of all kinds. In the Sunday school, in the Epworth League and in the prayer and class meeting.
She was joined in the holy bonds of matrimony to Gilbert H. Barr, on May 10, 1910. To this happy union two sons were born. Sister Barr would have loved so much to have lived on account of her little and beloved family. But never-the-less if it was God's will, she was perfectly resigned and ready to go to meet her Master.
Sister Barr leaves to mourn her loss her devoted husband and two little boys, her father and step-mother, three sisters, one half-sister, three half-brothers and an aged grand-father.
