Mary Elizabeth Scott
Mary Elizabeth Scott, age 70 passed away at her home in Lusk, WY on Thursday, April 16th, 2015. Mary was born December 30,1944 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and lived in Florida where she worked as a surgical nurse for several years before retiring to Lusk, Wyoming.
Mary loved living in the town of Lusk and making her daily walk to visit and get her coffee from the gals at Fresh Start, then making her way to the flower shop to chat with her friend Bobbi. She was known for a devotion to her cats, so much so that if the cats ran out of food, you could find her trudging through a blizzard to get to the store for more cat food. Mary loved planting flowers, watching her true crime stories, and planning her lifelong quest to chase down Brad Pitt and marry him. She loved to chat with anyone she came across, never knowing a stranger and making more friends than most ever do. Another of her favorite activities was to sit down with her daughter and granddaughters and chat over lunch for hours at a time. Mary was an extremely smart, hilarious and loving person that always looked to brighten someone's day with a funny story or a simple hello.
Mary is survived by her daughter Liza Smith of Douglas, WY; granddaughters Elizabeth (Brad) Boylan of Newcastle, WY and Heather Hawley of Torrington, WY, 4 great-grandchildren and all of her many friends in the Town of Lusk.
A celebration of life will be held at Pier Funeral Home in Lusk at a later date to be announced.
