Arlen "Rocky" Sheriff
Services for Arlen "Rocky" Sheriff, 63, of Jay Em were Jan. 24, 1887, at the Colyer Funeral Home. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery in Torrington. Memorials are to the American Heart Association. He died at his home of an apparent heart attack Jan. 20. He was born Dec. 21, 1933, to Leonard and Louise (Nelson) Sheriff, at Spring Grove, Minn. He married Myra Hickman Duff May 26, 1963, at Torrington. For the past 14 years, they have lived west of Jay Em. He was a truck driver in the moving business. In 1982, he became a self-employed trucker and also worked for Max Robinette at Jay Em.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and three brothers. Survivors include his wife of Jay Em; son and daughter-in-law Rocky and Linda Sheriff of Torrington; step-son Mike and wife Debbie Duff of Kemmerer; step-daughter and husband Athalee and Jim Cotton of Torrington; grandchildren Ory Sheriff, Brittany and Morgan Duff and Chris, Kyle and Cydney Cotton.
