Josie Williams
A message received yesterday from A.J. Williams at Omaha, announced that his wife, Mrs. Josie Williams, died there Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock. The news was no surprise to the friends of Mrs. Williams here as weeks ago Mr. Williams had informed them that the best surgeons in Omaha had told him she was not long for this world as an incurable cancerous growth was fast getting in its deadly work on her. She then went to Buffalo, New York, to consult and take treatment of specialists there, but still no relief was obtained. Mrs. Williams was among the pioneer settlers of Lusk and resided here until about two years ago, when she moved to Benson, Nebraska. Of late years she gave up most of her time working for churches and charitable institutions, always giving liberally toward their support.
