Graveside Services for Carl Moss are today

Graveside service for Carl Moss will be held at the Lusk Cemetery at 10 a.m. today. Moss, the son of former residents Mr. and Mrs. Jim Moss, was killed instantly late last Saturday afternoon when the car he was driving went off a bridge near Riverton and into the canal below. Moss was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

A passenger, Morris Lee Cren(?aw, was either thrown out or escaped from the car and was pulled to safety by a rope thrown to him by persons that witnessed the accident. He underwent surgery but has since been released.

Moss is survived by his parents Nancy and Jim of Riverton and a wife and children in Texas. The Moss family left here about 1969 when Jim was employed by Continental Oil Company.

Funeral service was held August 19 in Riverton.

Born the oldest of 3 children born to Charley William and Nancy "Hannah" (Dowson) Eutsler. Brother #2 was still born in 1947, and the 3rd child - William Joe "Billy" was born in 1948. Their father was killed by a drunk driver while he was walking home from work one night. James Moss was the name of the man who hit him. Charley's widow married Jim Moss (as was English custom). Carl's brother Billy died of sudden crib death in 1949 at age 18 mos. Jim Moss adopted Carl and raised him as his own.

Carl was in the Navy and died in a car accident.

He was the last living descendant of Charley William Eutsler, that line is now extinct.
