Brown Services Are Held Sat.

Funeral services for Gilbert R. Brown were held from the Peet Chapel in Lusk Saturday with the Rev. James Davis of the Congregational Church officiating.

Mr. Brown, 71, of Cody, and former Lusk and Lance Creek resident for many years, died last Wednesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ethel Thayer in Cody, after a lingering illness.

Mrs. J. P. Watson was organist. Mrs. Emerson Bonner and Mrs. Lyle Eddy sang, "This World Is Not My Home" and "In the Garden".

Pallbearers were: Joe Traphagen, James Russell, Ivan Maxwell, Robert Templeton, H. J. Templeton and Ruben Johnson.

Gilbert R. Brown was born March 7, 1892 at Pontoosuc, Ill. In 1916, he and Minnie Rahea Hurley were married at LaHarpe, Ill. He served in World War I, but was a welder by trade.

He is survived by, two brothers, one sister and four children, Bernice, Ethel, Dorothy and Roy seven step-children, Gayle Brown, Mildred Jefferies, Lucile Aberle, Ruth West, Euretha Gordon, Leota Waters and Fannie Kuhn. His son, Royce, three brothers and one sister died previously.
