Vonda Jo was born November 22, 1964 in Torrington, Wyoming to Bob and Mary Ann (Vondra) Sides. She was raised in Lance Creek, Wyoming and attended school in Lance Creek and later in Lusk. She married Tucker Martinez on February 3, 1990 and together they had two beautiful daughters, Shayla and Jayme. Her girls were the light of her life and she would do anything for them. In our heart of hearts we know that she will be watching over her girls. Vonda lived to care for others, both in her personal life and in her career as a home health nurse, making lifelong friendships with her clients. Her kindness went as far as to take in "extra" daughters. Vonda loved her daughters' friends as if they were her own, the same can be said about her dogs (Izzy and Daisy). Her contagious laugh will be remembered in the hearts of many for years to come.
Survivors include Shayla, Jayme and Tucker Martinez , her little sister Bub, two big brothers Slug and Chuck and sister-in-law Ginnie, her aunt, Orese Vondra, nephews Rowdy and Beau, great-nephew Brawley, great-niece Fiona, and another great-nephew on the way.
Waiting for her in heaven are Mom and Dad, and many other family and friends that have left this life too soon.
Services will be held at the Pier Funeral home in Lusk at 2:00 pm, Thursday, July 17, 2014. A celebration of her life will take place at the Three Sisters cafe in Manville following the service. Memorials can be sent to the Manville 4th of July celebration, PO Box 100, Manville WY 82227.
