Tracy Lee Alger
Funeral services for Tracy Alger, a 35 year old Kaycee woman who passed away suddenly Friday morning at her home west of Kaycee, will be held Thursday May 22nd at 2:00 p.m. from the Big Horn Baptist Church in Buffalo with Pastor Elgin Faber officiating. Visitation will be held from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and at the Church from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside services to follow the funeral. Donations in Tracy's memory may be made to the Tracy Alger Memorial Fund for the future of her children.
Tracy Lee Alger was born on August 23, 1978 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Gary and Susan Johnson. When she was an infant the family moved to Hermosa, South Dakota where she attended kindergarten through second grade at Spring Creek Country School. The family moved to Lusk where she attended grade school and graduated from Lusk High School with the class of 1996. After high school she attended Casper College for one year and transferred to National American University in Rapid City, South Dakota where she was certified as a Vet Tech and got a B.S. Business. After college she went to work for the Wyoming Livestock Roundup as their marketing rep and later became their graphic designer. She was married on October 1, 2005 in Buffalo to Alvy Alger and they made their home in Buffalo. In 2007 they moved to Kaycee, Wyoming where Alvy took a job with the John Schiffer Ranch and in 2012 Tracy went to work for Sagebrush Marketing as a graphic Designer where she continued to work until the time of her death.
She was a member and current president of the Johnson County Cattlewomen. She was a parliamentarian with the Wyoming Cattlewomen's Association and was also in charge of marketing for the Wyoming State FFA. She was involved heavily in Ag. In the Classroom in Wyoming and was a co-founder of the Women in Ag. Summit held every year in Buffalo.
She is survived by her husband Alvy Alger of Kaycee; one son Grady Alger and one daughter Bailee Alger both of Kaycee; her parents Susan and Gary Johnson of Douglas, Wyoming; one brother Chet Johnson of Sheridan; her paternal grandmother Florris B. Johnson of Rapid City, South Dakota; her mother and father-in-law, Alvy and Velma Alger of Buffalo; one brother-in-law Tucker Alger of Buffalo and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
