FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. AMELIA AGNEW SATURDAY

PASSES AWAY FRIDAY FOLLOWING PARALYTIC STROKE; WAS 84 YEARS OLD

Had Been Resident Here for Quarter Century; Burial Takes Place in Lusk Cemetery

Funeral Services, with Rev. H. H. Koontz officiating, were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ord, Saturday, November 13th for the latter's mother, the late Amelia Wood Agnew, who passed away on Friday, November 12th, following a paralytic stroke.

The mixed quartette rendered several selections and a solo was sung by R. A. Faulk, the sweetness of the selections of both adding much in the bringing of comfort to the bereaved ones.

Only the family and a few close friends were in attendance.

Interment was made in the local cemetery. The undertaking department of the Midwest Hardware company had charge of funeral arrangements.

LYDIA AMELIA WOOD
Lydia Amelia Wood was born in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, February 28,1842. She was the daughter of Pennsylvania pioneers, each of her paternal grandparents serving in the Revolutionary war. Soon after the close of the Civil was, she was married to William Agnew, they making their home in Leraysville, Penn., until 1889, when the moved to Chadron, Nebr., where they lived until 1902 when they moved to Wyoming.

Mr. Agnew, preceding his wife in death, passed away in October 1909, the latter living on to radiate sunshine and happiness for all with whom she came in contact, until November 12, 1926, when, at the age of 84 years, 8 months and 15 days, the Father deemed it time to call her home to rest.

She is survived by two sons, Grand and John, both of Lusk, one daughter, Mrs. Robert Ord of Lusk and four grandchildren, Mrs. Marjorie Darrow of Lewistown, Mont.: the Misses Gertrude and Jeannette Ord; John Robert Ord and on great grandson, George Francis Darrow of Lewistown, Mont.

God gave me a grandmother, very rare,
For it was forever her thot, to give no one a care.
Of all the sweet women, she ranks with the first,
'Tis ever her plan to be cheerful and gay,
And make everyone happy along life's way.
Her smile is as kind, her heart as true
As the sunshine above and the skies bright blue.
You know I love her, because, you see
No one could help it, much less me.
