David "Pete" J. Briscoe

David J. "Pete" Briscoe, age 81, of Basin, Wyoming passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at South Big Horn County Critical Access Hospital between Basin and Greybull, Wyoming of natural causes.

He was born August 18, 1932 in Keeline, Wyoming, the son of Carl and Margaret (Mahnke) Briscoe. He graduated in 1946 from the Manville Public Schools.

On June 18, 1949, Pete married Delores J. Pullen at Harrison, Nebraska.

Pete was a plumber and an auctioneer. He and his wife settled in Lusk, Wyoming where they had their children. Later they moved to Dayton, Wyoming. In September 2013 Pete moved from Dayton to the Big Horn Basin to be closer to family.

Pete is preceded in death by both parents; granddaughter, Tamatha R. Briscoe; two children, Rusty Briscoe and Ronda Briscoe; and his wife, Delores Briscoe.

Pete is survived by his son, Roy (Pam) Briscoe of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; his sister, Jennette (Keith) Farrington of Kaycee, Wyoming; his daughters-in law, Arlydia Briscoe (wife of the late Rusty Briscoe) of Shell, Wyoming and DeeDee Briscoe (wife/partner of the late Ronda Briscoe) of Rawlins, Wyoming; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A private family ceremony will take place in Dayton at a later time.

Atwood Family Funeral Directors, Inc. assisted the family with arrangements.
