Anne (Mrs. Everette) Brooks, Lusk, died Sunday at the Casper Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Prior to being moved to Casper she was confined to a Denver hospital. Rosary was held Tuesday evening at Peet Mortuary Chapel, and mass was held this Wednesday morning.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by The Rev. Bartholomew Sevete at 10:30 a.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church.

Mrs. Vaneta Serres, organist, accompanied Mrs. Norma Willson as she sang "Ava Maria" and "Beyond The Sunset."

Casket bearers were George Dixon, Gene Lenz, John Sturman, Oliver Pate, Julius Peterson and Stanley Wasson. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Anne Elizabeth Jordan Brooks was born January 11, 1914, the daughter of Cornelius Jordan and Elizabeth Henry Jordan, at Harrison, Neb. She graduated from high school in Harrison in 1933 and from beauty school in Casper in 1944. She opened her beauty shop in Lusk in 1945. Beginning in 1955, she operated a shop in Casper for 3 years.

She was married to F. Everette Brooks on Sept. 8, 1953, at Torrington. She was a charter member of Lusk BPO Does No. 64 and a member of Friends of the Library.

She is survived by her widower Everette of Lusk; her mother, Elizabeth Jordan of Harrison; one stepson, Dean Brooks, of Casper; 3 grandsons; one great-grandson; 5 brothers, Charles Jordan, Harrison, Henry Jordan, Miles City, Mont., Ed Jordan, Lingle, Bill Jordan, Billingham, Wash., and Jim Jordan of Los Angeles, Calif.; three sisters Ellen Lacy of Hay Springs, Neb., Gertrude Jordan of Harrison and Margaret Cook of Casper; 3 nieces and 7 nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Cornelius Jordan, and one brother, Con Jordan.
