Ramona "Mona" May Jenkins

Ramona May Jenkins was brought into this world on Sept. 15, 1961 in Lusk, Wyo. She was taken home on July 27, 2013 in Scottsbluff, Neb.

Mona, as most people knew her by, loved spending time with her family and friends. After relocating to Rawlins, where she spent a large portion of her life, Mona came back to Lusk where she spent her last 21 years. She worked for the past five years at Wyoming Women's Correctional Facility, and one of her favorite things in life was buying thoughtful gifts for the people she loved.

Mona was survived by two daughters; Tabitha Nelson and husband Shane, of Lander Wyo., and Dawn Jenkins and fiancé Kirby Norris of Gillette, Wyo. Grandson Xander Norris, sister, Joyce Lazenby and husband Mike of Marissa, Ill., brother Curtis Jenkins and wife Colette of Casper, Wyo., father Ramon Jenkins of Lusk, Wyo., and many nieces and nephews. Mona was preceded in death by her mother, Jenny Nickelson, and her grandparents.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, at Pier Funeral Home, with Pastor Tony Perry of Crossroads Church officiating.

Memorials in Mona's honor may be made to Santa's Helpers, PO Box 839, Lusk, WY 82225-0839.
