Frank Mathewson

Word has been received here of the passing of Frank Mathewson, former resident of the county on September 26, in Reno, Neb. He had suffered a heart attack about four hours earlier at his home in California and was flown to Reno. He was the son of the late Mabel and Frank Mathewson who moved to Lusk from the Glendo area in 1937. He graduated from Lusk High School in 1940. He was in the U.S. Navy, attached to the Seebees during world War II.

He was married on Jan. 22, 1944 to Nina Elizabeth Farley, in Roscoe, Calif.

Full military services ere held, conducted by his brother-in-law, the Rev. Palmer Watson. he is survived by his wife Nina, of Calif., three sisters, Mrs. Palmer Watson of San Pablo, Calif., Mrs. Joe Cannon of Abilene, Texas and Mrs. Howard Lewis of Long Beach; several nieces, a nephew, and cousins among which are Donald Johnson of Lance Creek; Maxine Miller, Virginia Kant and an aunt Thelma Carlisle, all of Lusk.
