Raymond Alfred Moore

Raymond Alfred Moore, 84, of Lance Creek, died April 13, 2013, at Weston County Manor in Newcastle.

He was born March 5, 1929, in Lusk, to John and Virginia Moore. He made a living doing what he needed, to provide for his family. He was a cowboy at heart and a talented carpenter.

On Nov. 6, 1949, he married his one and only love, Esther Garhart. The couple lived a life of caring for family and those less fortunate, including 27 foster children. He served in the National Guard. He took great pleasure in hunting, gardening, riding horses, and caring for the animals kept on the farm, but above all he loved the Heavenly Father and his family.

Survivors include his wife, Esther; two daughters, Linda (and Mike) Zeimet, Newcastle, and Susan (and Dwight) Hull, Waynoka, Okla.; and his two sons, Allan (and Lorraine) Moore, Ranchester and Ricky (and Paula) Moore, Lance Creek. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Matthew Hubbard, Krsti Krogman, Lori Kolczak, Brian Moore, Jana Sams, Jimmy Cosmano, Sage Cook, Hanna Kimbro, Kelsy Hull; many great-grandchildren; and a large loving network of family and friends.

Services wee held at 2 p.m. on April 15 at the Kitty Moats School of Osage, and he was laid to rest in the Garhart Cemetery there. Pallbearers were Allan Moore, Ricky Moore, Matthew Hubbard, Brian Moore, Cory Moore, Mike Zeimet, Scott Garhart and Sage Cook, as well as Kevin Garhart, Dale Wood, Joe Wood, Jr. Dwight Garhart, Tony Garhart and Christ Garhart.

The family suggests memorials to the activities fund at Weston County Manor, 1124 Washington Blvd, Newcastle, WY 82701.
