Obituary

Earl Leroy McLain, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy McLain, who reside south of Lusk, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 1914. the little one was getting along nicely until Saturday when the valvular action of the heart ceased to perform its proper functioning and death came without warning. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon, Rev. S. Burman Long of the Congregational Church officiating. A short service was held at the home. The usual committal service was read at the grave and the Hymn "A Jewel for the Master," was sung. The parents had hoped to keep the little one and are much grieved because of his death. In the way of comfort the following verses are offered:

"How can a mother's heart feel cold or weary,
Knowing her dearest self safe, sheltered, warm?
How can she feel her road too dark or dreary,
Who knows her treasure sheltered from the storm?
