W. H. HUDSON PASSES AWAY AFTER STROKE

Funeral For Father of Lance Creek Residents Held in Lusk, With Interment at Alliance

Wiley H. Hudson, 75 years old, a pioneer of Nebraska, passed away at the Lusk Hospital early Sunday morning, following a stroke of apoplexy, from which he never recovered.

For more than 20 years he lived in Nebraska. Two years ago he came to Lance Creek, where he has been living with his two sons, Claude and Harry.

On Sunday, June 19, he was stricken with apoplexy and was brought to the Lusk Hospital, where he passed away Sunday morning. Up until the time of his death he was known to be in the best of health and this was the first stroke he had ever had.

Brief funeral services were held at the Peet Mortuary, which had charge of the arrangements, at 2:30 Monday afternoon, with Rev. Edwin F. Irwin officiating. Several duets were rendered by Mrs. Bob Taylor and Ford Kuns, accompanied by Miss Alice Fowler.

Mr. and Mrs. Claude Hudson, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hudson and a daughter, Mrs. Kelly Galusha of Lakeside, Nebr., were the only members of the family to attend the services here.

On Tuesday, George Earl Peet accompanied the body to Alliance, Neb., where last rites were given him at the Christian Church, of which he was a member. Burial was made in the Alliance Cemetery.
