Betty Boston
Graveside services were held for Betty Boston, 76, Sept. 19 at Hennessey Cemetery. Rev. Robyn Thompson-Groggs officiated. Arrangements were under the direction of Cordry Gritz Funeral Home.
Betty died Sept. 5, at Integris Bass Baptist Hospital.
She was born Sept. 6, 1927, in Manville to Jacob and Edna Keithly Stallman.
She married David Boston on Dec. 24, 1947, in Lance Creek. She was a member of the First Methodist Church. Betty graduated with the class of 1946. She worked at the Lusk Hospital as a nurse's aid in the summers and after school She loved the work and always wanted to go to nursing school. Upon her children's graduation she fulfilled this dream and went to school to earn her LPN license. She then worked as an LPN for several years at Bass Baptist Hospital in Enid.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Boston in 1979.
Surviving are one daughter, Ramona Rarick and husband Joseph of Norman, Okla.; one son, David Boston and wife Debe of Eureka , Calif.; one sister, Beverly Hoy and Husband Richard of Jay Em; four grandchildren, Megan, Michael, Jennifer Rarick of Norman, Okla. and Angel Boston of Eureka, Calif.; two great grandchildren , Moriah Maxwell and Laila Jane, Ann Mianes.
Betty's grandchildren were the joy of her life. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Burial at Hennessey Cemetery, Hennessey, Oklahoma
