Jens Rasmussen Dies Here at 95

Jens M. Rasmussen of 3901 Ridge Rd., died Monday at DePaul Hospital. He was 95.
Born Aug. 16, 1887 in Atrup Kare, Denmark, he came to Wyoming May 10, 1906 from Denmark.
Rasmussen had lived here since 1972. He had been a pipeline superintendent at the pump station at Fort Laramie, employed by Marathon Oil.
He and Zula Belle Murchison were married in 1935 in Cheyenne. She died Dec. 7, 1951.
Surviving are two children, Margaret Roll of Cheyenne and Ross Roll of Prescott, Ariz., two grandchildren and five great grandchildren; a niece and nephew, Eric Madser of Denver and Pearl Bussey of Vista, Calif.; and a sister, Joahanne Nand of Denmark.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Schrader Funeral Home, with Elder Earl Saxton officiating.
Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Lusk Cemetery.
Friends who wish may contribute to the Home Health Care Center of Frontier Hospice at DePaul Hospital.
